The Gypsies (Qarachi) of Azerbaijan: History, Culture, and Contemporary Challenges of an Invisible Community

The Romani people (commonly referred to as Gypsies) are a widespread ethnic minority across the world, including the South Caucasus region. While their population in Azerbaijan is relatively small, they represent an often overlooked and marginalized segment of society. This project explores the history, cultural identity, and current social challenges faced by the Romani community in Azerbaijan.
